Rituals to
reconnect

Throughout history people of all cultures have been attracted to the magic of feathers - using them as tools to enhance their communion with the spiritual world.

Feather fans have traditionally been used by the people of the Americas, as sacred objects in their ceremonies.

In today’s times we can use feathers as part of our rituals to help us rebalance and reconnect.

Cleanse your Space

Our ancestors collected objects like feathers, having been inspired by the beauty and song of birds. In the same way, people have reproduced these qualities by using feathers to enhance their beauty and support their expression of prayer.

Materials
Feathers

Ethically acquired feathers are sourced for your project, followed by cleaning, trimming and treatment.

Threadwork

Stacked threadwork is used to decorate the stem of each feather, often using a palette to complement the natural tones of your feathers.

Carbon fibre

Every feather is extended and reinforced with carbon fibre rod -chosen to give your fan optimal strength and flexibility.

Precious metals

A metal band is used to decorate each feather, with a choice of plated or solid options to match your design.

Precious stones

Loos fans are strung together using semi-precious stones like opals, allowing like feathers to expand and collapse like a bird's tail.

3D printing

Every feather converges at the ‘holder’ part of the fan - a proprietary element 3D printed from a corn-derived biopolymer.

Glass beads

Using the finest Japanese glass ‘seed’ beads, measuring just 1.5mm in diameter. Every handle uses around 3000 beads, stitched one-by-one.

Leather

Fans are wrapped in super soft deerskin leather, which will develop a unique patina with use.

Storage & Care

Boxes can offer protection from damage, keeping feathers sealed away from dust, moisture and pests. Every box is handmade in the UK and constructed from a 12-layer engineered birch plywood for the perfect balance between strength and weight. When cared for, feathers can last a lifetime.
